Dubai real estate diploma starts autumn 2026: DLD and HCT train brokers as University of Dubai plans a property degree

Dubai Land Department set out two new education routes into the property sector at the International Property Show, held 7 to 9 September 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The first is a Level 4 diploma developed with the Higher Colleges of Technology, taking its first students this autumn. The Real Estate Sector Diploma runs 90 study hours over two academic years and covers property management, financial operations, legislation, compliance and dealing with other parties in a transaction. It includes two blocks of field training. DLD and HCT first announced the diploma in January 2026, with around 40 places planned per intake.

The second is a bachelor's degree in real estate being developed with the University of Dubai, covering finance, investment, valuation, regulation, property management and real estate technology. The university also plans certificates, postgraduate degrees and executive courses around it. Its start date has not yet been finalised.

Dubai recorded AED 419.9 billion in property transactions in the first half of 2026.
